Reporting to the Vice President of Collections in this “hands on” role, the Collections Manager will be responsible for managing, motivating and training a group of collectors to be successful in a fast-paced call center environment. We offer tremendous growth and bonus opportunities to our dedicated partners. This person will manage the monthly collections process, prepare and distribute standard reporting, maintain and monitor key indicators, identify trends, manage the staff and ensure deadlines are met.

 To help drive profitability and growth the Collections Manager will:

  • Drive and maintain accountability for all CM deliverables including production, collection target, call monitoring, account reviews/audits, side-by-side monitoring, followed by coaching/training sessions
  • Conduct effective, results-driven coaching sessions each month with reporting CMs to ensure partners continuously improve their production, collection and customer interface skills
  • Develop recommendations and projections on business growth, flows and adjustments
  • Provide consistent and accurate results measurement and metrics
  • Assign workloads and manage schedules to ensure timely deliveries
  • Ensure that compliance with company policies and federal regulations is maintained
  • Assist in performance evaluation, promotion, retention and termination activities
  • Identify areas of improvements and concerns and develop action plans accordingly
  • Maintain productive and cohesive relationships with supporting operations, departments and staff

The successful candidate must have an impeccable track record of accomplishment including managing a 5 – 10 person collections team.  A history of sustained growth, expanding products and services, increasing profit margins and developing relationships are key prerequisites for this role.

The Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years management experience as a Collections Manager required
  • BS or BA degree preferred
  • Must have exceptional work ethic and motivation to be successful
  • Strong computer skills
  • High degree of honesty and integrity
  • Ability to teach, train and motivate others
